The DIFC Courts offers a service for smaller disputes in the form of the Small Claims Tribunal. By removing the need for lawyers, businesses can benefit from its proven capacity to resolve disputes amicably through a mediation mechanism. Through the award-winning smart SCT, large firms, SMEs and individuals with claims can also access a virtual courtroom online from anywhere in the world.

The DIFC Courts Wills Service is a joint initiative of the Government of Dubai and the DIFC Courts that gives non-Muslims investing and living in the UAE the option to pass on their assets and/or appoint guardians for their children, in accordance with the instructions in their Will. 

Eligible individuals can achieve certainty by registering a Will at the Registry and having this enforced via the DIFC Courts.

The DIFC Courts is independent, but complimentary to the UAE’s Arab language, civil law system, and located at the core of Dubai’s financial powerhouse. The DIFC Courts administer a unique common law, English language jurisdiction, which governs commercial and civil disputes, national, regionally, and worldwide.
